Caramel-herbal nose. Exelent SB: smooth, fruity, fine acidity and slightly nutty in the end. Very tasteful!

Jan 26th, 2020Medium bodied and with nice fruit, yet not overly fruity. The Pinot elegance is there, seductive and with a touch of understatement. The wood is perfectly integrated by now and the strawberries & cream start giving way to the herby freshness. Hedonistic and delicious.

This has really come together now, marrying an elegant, sophisticated structure (aka Volnay) with a Spätburgundian aromatic Profile. Delicious.

2012 vintage. Kalkmergelss. Light ruby hue. Spicey, vegetal, red fresh fruit profile. On the palate, medium minus body, medium plus acidity, light tannin, medium alcohol and medium plus finish. Nice texture to this wine. Not bad at all.

Glorious midweight pinot noir, great length and smoky delicacy. £26 from vino in Edinburgh, which is cracking value for good pinot.
