Pale ruby. Light body, medium alcohol 13%, soft light tannins. Similar to a Pinot Noir or a Poulsard. The texture is very supple and silky, very glyceric. I was expecting higher acidity but I actually would put it in the medium to medium+ range. #schiava #altoadigewine #altoadige #italy

#altoadige #shiava - medium-light bodied, similar to Pinot Noir but less up-front fruit - stewed cherry, ultra-soft tannins, nice tartness but a bit unsubstantial on the finish. Started to oxidize and fade after a couple of days in wine fridge.

Lightly smoky on the nose. Drinking right before Christmas and it couldn’t be more appropriate. Reminds me of a lighter version of a Cote Rotie, which is one of my favorites. Love it!

Light, transparent ruby. No shortage of funk on the nose - lots of manure, mushrooms, and dried herb with little to no fruit. Medium, but gritty, tannins and less acid than I was expecting. In the mouth the earthiness continues with dark, stewed fruit - lots of plums. This smells better than it taste, but was different and enjoyable for pizza night.
