Red floral cinnamon nose. Dried red fruits; strawberries, pomegranate, cranberries, mushrooms and forest floor. Super high adcity. A little lean on finish with strong minerality. This wine will require patience.

First, it's Joseph Drouhin—you can buy anything from this place and you'll be happy. Second, it's Burgundy Pinot—light, playful and bright and pretty much everything California Pinot scene is trying very hard to be. Third—this particular vintage is superb. 2011 from Burgundy is a guaranteed "Yes!".

Saturday night and tonight's wine is the 2015 Joseph Drouhin Gevrey-Chambetin Pinot Noir. This wine has 20-30% of their Premier Cru in the blend.
On the nose there is strawberry, cherry, raspberry, clove, hibiscus, cola and wet leaves.
On the palate there are notes of cherry, raspberry, strawberry, red currant, cola, clove, mushroom and damp earth.
This wine is medium bodied with a silky smooth mouthfeel, medium acidity and medium fine tannins that leads into a medium+ to long red fruit licorice tinged finish. A beautifully balanced wine with lasting pleasure. Stay healthy and safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Clean, bright red berries and baking spices up top. Some stem notes supporting that. Young, grippy tannins and plenty of acidity. Needs time.
