Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru Pinot Noir

Quite muted. Dark and dense. A little reticent in the nose

This bottle was in great shape. Still youthful fruit, with tar, mineral, touches of its age in the nuances. Wonderful refreshing finish- this was perfect with a dinner with earthy flavors.

An integrated and complex nose. The palate was lively but was drying out on the mid palate. Some sweet fruit balanced with fantastic earthy notes. Great length and a pleasure to drink with food. Way way way beyond my expectations. Great color and fully relaxed on the palate. Wines of this age have nothing to prove to anyone.
