Better on day 2 - dark fruits despite it heritage in the Côte de Beaune. Red chassagne? Yes!

A big boy, the vintage and vineyard are on full display here. The nose is tremendously expressive and generous, with apple, ripe citrus, a mineral core with hints of rosemary and smoke. The palate is generous too, deeply flavored but with good mineral and acid cut. The finish is really long, with fresh white orchard fruits and a lingering rosemary note. #chassagnemontrachet #gagnard #chardonnay

2010 is showing beautifully, generous notes of toffee, nutty finish.

2010 vintage. Classy, more profound and more scale than Boudriotte. A more serious/structured wine. Good balance which will allow this wine to develop well over the next 8-10 years. Persistent and citrussy finish.

One of THE best wines I have had in 2013. Like liquid rocks and fruit! A medium to deep gold color. The nose is deep and fresh, sliced apple and other fruits, cut flowers, and striking minerality. The palate is similarly clean and fresh with good tension from the acidity, a piercing but elegant weight. Long and persistent finish. Best white burg all year for me! #wine #burgundy #chardonnay
