Always the most interesting champagne on the table and today was WOTN (IMO slightly edging out Dan’s ‘96 Marcassin Chardonnay). How do you balance lively and oxidative in champagne? I don’t know, but Selosse clearly does. Thanks Joe Leatherwood. Very generous as always.

Substance NV. 1986-2004 and some 2005. Medium lemon. Pear, violets, Burgundian. Perfumed and aromatic. I like this. Good balance and complexity. Nice length and structurally harmonious. Rich in an elegant way. No oxidative notes.
