2013 at top level continues to drink fabulously, and Mugnier’s Fuées, a magical vineyard and essentially a southern extension of Bonnes Mares, is stunning today on pnp (although last sips were the best) wafting layers of sweet strawberry-rhubarb, sous bois, rose petals, game and smoky minerals. It’s liquid velvet in the mouth with an energetic spine of cool minerality and balanced acids adding freshness and focus to its delivery. It’s simply a beguiling combination of power and elegance and a superb expression of the vintage.

Although I find not all 2012’s are ready to go, Mugnier’s Fuées is absolutely gorgeous with a mesmerizing bouquet, liquid cashmere texture and a crazzzzy long finish. When it peaked towards the end of dinner it was really something to behold. Superb.

I’m loving how the vintage is drinking, especially so from the top producers. Rousseau and Mugnier being my favorites. The 2013 Fuées is loaded with spice and violets and has such lovely purity of fruit that’s backed by a vibrant line of focused acidity and a cool mineral infusion. Excellent.

Bright fresh cherry on the nose with some darker gnarly notes. All very bright and precise. On the palate clear and fresh with some green edges. Dynamic and pretty.

Astonishingly good and still a young wine. Light and elegant. One of the best CMs I’ve had the pleasure to drink

Awesome. Perfectly mature. Grand cru level burg. Had the Amoureusena couplemof@month ago and this is not far off at all.

Tawny and reddish. Translucent. Pure Pinot fruit nose but with a rustic, masculine type character. Rhubarb, raspberry, gravel and spice notes. In the mouth it's a great balance of ripe fruit, mostly resolved tannin and structure. Serious finish. A nice sweetness develops with a few hours of air. Can get better with more age I think but good now.
