Nice flavor depth but showing too much oak for me.

Lighter and softer than expected, but so beautifully floral and aromatic.

Lovely black fruit and volcanic minerality, and lithe enough to pair perfectly with whole fried sea bass over couscous with spicy tomato sauce.

this wine has it all. fragrant and high-toned nose, but with really firm tannins that complement the structure. just love it.

I ordered COS, they were OOS and suggested this. It was a perfect substitute.

Rich, acid, great chewy structure, dark/earthy/savory flavors. Surprisingly delicious match for a funky three milk robiola with dates and bread.

Right now that hot, volcanic rock Etna thing is leading the charge, steamrolling over what is likely some very pretty fruit. With a little time in the decanter and with food, the elegance peeks out, but this is not ready for prime time...

As soon as you put your nose in the glass you know you're in for a treat. A wine of uncommon purity. Expansive nose with a whiff of sulfides and that smoky-rocky Etna scent, mingled with herbs, orange peel, and fruit. The palate is black cherry so ripe it's fit to burst on the tree, with a fullness that remains completely in focus. Long, with a furry Etna tannins finish. Outstanding.

Much too young. Sweet, toasted oak covering up any depth and nuance. Perhaps in 5+ years the oak will blow off and reveal the elegance and finesse that Nerello has to offer.
