The first time I had this wine was a 2014, and it blew my mind!. Since that wine the 2015 and 2016 have been less of that experience. Ripeness seems to be a little out of balance. Good potential so will go back to a 14 and see where these go! Anyone else have experience with this rare Sicilian?

One of the better Etna's I have had outside the usual suspects on the mountain in a while...dense and layered, energetic and perfumed.

Incredible. Small batch production on Etna - 3000 bottles annually - this bottle at CaveOx was an inspiration of volcanic cherry rocky tannic terroir. Delicious.

Overall a solid wine but doesn't blow me away in the manner that other Etna Rosso wines have. I would happily continue to buy at $25 but there are better wines from those slopes for $40.
