Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and powerful. At this point in its evolution, the 2013 Gaisberg is a bit of a showstopper. After a full day of really amazing wine, it got everyone’s attention in the right way. All of its pieces are in the proper place. Drink now through 2037+

Stands out from the always excellent Skurnick Riesling portfolio. From both ends of the spectrum, it’s neither laser sharp nor sweet and deep. It’s a powerhouse - voluptuous, creamy, luscious, and concentrated. Overtly aromatic and very grand. Think Viognier.
Orange and fleshy ripe peach with bitter fuzzy skin.

Very interesting with a little age - some cooked pears & apples but mostly non fruit - hay, rocks, chamomile tea; petrol is slightly distracting
