Finger Lakes Dry Riesling

Well, everyone at the dinner table enjoyed this one. And some didn’t know if they liked Riesling or not. Harmoniously balanced, silky, bright, long, and nuanced all together.

Love it as always; seems to be getting richer each year, perhaps at the expense of elegance, but still one of America’s great value wines.

I do not understand how this is less than $20. It is insane. Benchmark FLX dry Riesling.

Superb Riesling. Poured this at a blind tasting in Aspen not long ago with Loosen, Loimer & Zind Humbrecht and it easily held its own.

My first NY state riesling, really good and super food friendly.

Alsatian praise worthy in terms of structure & acid backbone. Would love to taste blind. White stone fruits w some quince, lemon rind on back end. Held its own in thxgvng feast w turkey

#wbc15 cellaring seminar; Stewed peaches with tangerine juice. Still great acid.

Aromas of key lime, granny smith apple, and baking spices on this unctuous nose. Semi-sweet on the palate with pear, granny smith and those baking spices appearing again. Really good energy and balance on the wine with 40+ seconds of length. Hang on to this one at least another 7-8 years if you can.

Almost clear color with subtle gold hues. Petrol dominates the nose with some sweet elements. Fairly thick, deep wine with more Petrol and some lemongrass and pineapple on the palate. Pretty good vintage from HJW.
