Bigger and spicer than you’d expect. Light+ body with a Syrah like macerated pepper and sour cherry.

I was really hoping this was a simple, tasty Cru for those on a budget. However, it is largely indistinguishable from any random Big Brand California grocery store wine. There's no reason this should be as processed and boring as it is, but it is all the same.

Bright, clean, excellent acidity. Hell of a picnic wine.

Kind of vinegary before airing
Sharp but not a whole lot of flavor
Only light tannins
Maybe plum?

Sour cherries and crazy loam, spiced up with a refined acidity. Beaujolais Crus continue to impress and confound me, and this one - like all the others I've tried - has a personality all its own. Delicious quaffing!
