First the nose will hit you. Extraordinary. Next red berries, black berries, eucalyptus and orange back end. (I might be the only guy to get an orange note). Balance, structure and the finish all scream of a very special wine. I don't know this Martha of Martha's Vineyard but I'd love to meet her. Top 5 of the night.

It was good. Beautiful ruby red. Did not have as much bouquet as I expected. Acidity was good. Vibrant but elegant. Decanted 2 hours and had over around 2-3 hours. Essentially no sediment, just a little bit of fine grains at the end.

Secondary market purchase, was a little worried because the cork looked so good for 35 years. But had a big sediment stain on the side of the bottle so stored properly. Decant 1 hour drinking over 3 hours and it continues to improve.

Better than the 05, but still not quite up there with the 2010 which really exhibited the traditional Eucalyptus. But considering all were auction bottles who really knows. But this was a great steak wine, drank over 6 hours.

Decanted for 2 hours. One of the best smelling wines I tried, floral with old world Bordeaux impressions. Intense flavor, high acidity, tannins are there but not intrusive. Long finish. Medium body.

Had no idea! Deep rich color and taste. Opens up and boom you get the fruit. Smooth as silk a true find!
