Lean. Made without malolactic. Still needs time.

Better than the 05, but still not quite up there with the 2010 which really exhibited the traditional Eucalyptus. But considering all were auction bottles who really knows. But this was a great steak wine, drank over 6 hours.

Decanted for 2 hours. One of the best smelling wines I tried, floral with old world Bordeaux impressions. Intense flavor, high acidity, tannins are there but not intrusive. Long finish. Medium body.

Had no idea! Deep rich color and taste. Opens up and boom you get the fruit. Smooth as silk a true find!

Drinking well right now with tannins kind of gritty at this point. Give it a few years.

Surprise to end the night. They were asking 30 dollars a glass. Keep it coming.

Another Heitz offered at the tasting last night. This wine was beautiful. Eucalyptus and mint. Full bodied. This wine will be ridiculous in 10 - 15 years.

Still a little coiled but otherwise ready after a lot of air.
