Ink Grade Vineyard Zinfandel

Dark and concentrated. Dried red fruits, bramble, spice.

A beautifully- balanced, contained wine. Only 14%, which is virtually unheard of these days. Nose has bright black raspberry fruit and some dry gravel. A wee hint of iodine. In the mouth it’s lean but flavorful. The opposite of jammy, the flavors and clingy but buoyed by surprising acids. Some tannins for structure. Should age nicely for a few more years.

Red berries and wild forest flowers. Attractive.

Fresh cut wood.

lighter mid palate than I expected. not much of the peppery zin. it's pleasant but I thought I would see more mid body and finish

First time having the Zin - another quality wine from Heitz. Great value sub $30.

Relatively light from a body and color perspective, but quite austere. Lots of raspberry aromas with hints of wet stones, mint and blood. Bright red berry fruit flavors with and earthy finish. Mouth watering acidity.
