Love how woodsy and herbal this is, like rooting around in the underbrush for tiny dark berries. Light ruby color but plenty of structure, aromatic and fresh

Taking me back to the Dolomites. Fresh, great acid, dark fruit.

hmm. delectable is saying the Elda is Schiava. i always thought it was Teroldigo. regardless, this vintage is a let down. Mayr’s trademark balance of fruit and mineral notes is covered by an oaky sweetness that isn’t expected in his wines.

Bright, fresh and young fruit--cherry, raspberry and he like--deepened by the craggy, earthy backdrop of mountain wines.

This producer never fails to deliver quirky but beautifully made wine with an abundance of character. Predominantly schiava with a motley assortment of other unidentified varietals. Fresh strawberry with an earthy, herbal quality and a distinctly saline finish.

Tight little bastard initially with a little funk that made me fear the TCA horror I've experienced last vintage but du calme, mon Vieux a little decanting and as the last drops consumed it's pretty little red sour cherry floral delight emerge if a bit heavier and broader than the 2009 which I preferred to this. Perhaps an adolescent stage for it , too
