Detroit. Living large with my boys.
On the nose this is complex. Comes across as rustic, with notes of graphite, cinnamon and cocoa powder. Palate is ethereal, as expected. Nice weight and balance. Somewhat dry mouthfeel with medium tannins. Mature cherries blend with moderate acidity. Finish is completed with cigar box. Food will help this wine. Drink or hold. Loving the moment…

12' Harlan. Amazing

Deep purple color. Aromas of black fruit, cassis, cigar box and chocolate. Packed with flavor! Black fruits and cedar finish.

1993 Harlan. Thanksgiving. Didn’t decant. Predictably big wine. Didn’t have the elegance or finish of other vintages we’ve had, but still enjoyed it.

That was enjoyable.

1994 Harlan CS. Dinner at Cap w P&R D and their guests. This wine was perfect. K thought it drank as beautifully as he had hoped.

1.5 L for those who thought the Opus was musty. This was not.
