Well over the hill (feeble colour, astringent nose, crumbling palate). I know some would say this was never meant to last 33 years, but if you can't make a village GC that will last from a year like '83 then you drop down a large notch in my book. Two bottles, both from a good cellar, with great levels. Identical notes so it wasn't down to having a bad bottle.

one wants to justify the wine one buys. this is very light and tasty. problem is slow development in terms of beginning (nose) middle (first taste) and end (aftertaste). Just be patient!!
