Dried black fruit, stone, hints of dark chocolate, baking spice; similar on palate with some plum and some subtle oak (fairly well integrated); medium body with med- tannin and medium acidity / approachable, and recommend serving with a little chill, or at least keeping at cellar temp / at first blush I sensed a lot of Pinot similarities but over time the wine has opened up into some merlot notes / note: @delectable, is there actually Syrah in this? The app suggest so, but nothing online (or in the glass) says so? Curious!

Mountain herbs, truffles, ripe tannins with high acidity. A charmer, very elegant. Hits my personal preferences big time. So happy that wines like this do exist!

This wine is all about density and weightlessness. While the wine is opaque in color (thus the name?), full flavored and quite full bodied, it manages to come of lighter than you would think. Black fruits and savory aromas and flavors exude from this dark as night wine.

How about this... Triumphant and unique in that they are making a DRY expression of this amazing grape traditionally reserved for sweet wines. WHAT? WHY? How come it took the Greeks 3000+ years to figure out that mavrodaphne is fantastic dry?

Very nice. Opened up with a bouquet that hinted of mint. Bright acidity, nice tannins, reasonable finish. Lots of spice and herbs and licorice integrated with the red fruits.

Сливовая шкурка, микс чёрной и красной смородины, сухая черника, клюква, молотый чёрный перец, кора, лакрица, легкий тон кофе. Среднее тело с молодыми, но укрощенными танинами и энергичной, чуть нервной кислотностью. Молодо, ярко и экспрессивно, почти свежо, но ещё немного разбалансировано, угловато, с шероховатой фактурой и ощутимой бочкой. Должно стать гармоничнее с возрастом.
