The 2021 Langhe Nebbiolo is a terrific entry-level wine. Delicate and gracious in the glass, it captures the essence of the house style. Bright, red-toned fruit, orange peel, mint, crushed rocks and white pepper lend brightness to this elegant, wonderfully translucent Langhe Nebbiolo. $25.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, December 2022)

Another solid value Nebbiolo from Vajra. Perfect for pasta night. Some slightly candied cherry fruit makes this accessible, but the backbone is all unoaked Nebbiolo; anise, rose hips, rhubarb. Delicious! (If memory serves, the ‘19 edges out the ‘18).

Another entry level Nebbiolo that benefits from air & age. Cherries, violets, mixed with sage. My other ‘ house wine’, down to a few bottles. Need to slow down...

Medium Ruby with notes of red fruits and floral scents. On the palate red fruits with notes of blueberry, cherry and earthy dried lavender. Good balance, soft fine tannins, medium finish ending with fruit and earthy character. Nice value. Aged well.
