March 3, 2016. Dinner. Top Ten wine of the month Feb 2018, and another winner from GD Vajra. 100% Freisa grape. Definitely unique, distinct ripe plum on the palate. Well balanced, smooth tannins. Yum!

Langhe DOC 2009, 14.5%. Unusual "Freisa", however the tannins were too powerful. Also the balsamic notes were very strong. Not my kind of wine. 80/100

More on the leather/tobacco/earth side than I would have expected from friesa but maybe that’s on me? In any case this one was balanced and drinking well now.
