The 2015 Magari is terrific. Bold and sumptuous in the glass, the 2015 speaks with a real sense of authority. Succulent black cherry, plum, chocolate and spice are all front and center in this radiant, yet mid-weight wine. Deceptive in its mid-weight structure, the 2015 has quite a bit of tannin that needs a few years in bottle to resolve. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, April 2018)

Deep ruby color with garnet hues. Tart blackberry, rhubarb, pepper, leather, and vegetal notes on the nose. Medium-plus acidity and noticeable tannins on the palate with notes of fig, dates, and dried prunes.

Very dark in nature, but bright acidity on the finish. Tasted over three days and has a long life ahead.

Too much Cab Franc, adds a wet cardboard aspect I just don’t like. Strange, didn’t note that the previous time I tasted this.
