Rich sumptuous wine with dense black fruit, dried rose petals, liquorice and herbs. Drinking at its optimum with the fruit, acids, tannins and oak in great harmony. Great wine.

This was incredibly awesome. It was still young but drank great after an hour in decanter.

Nov 10th, 2017For me this is an outstanding barbaresco . Better than the 1997. Forward fruit, slightly roasted, integrated alcohol, ripe tannins. Great to drink now fabulous in 7 to 10 years . Wow.

This is a huge barbaresco--drunk today, it is dense and sweet and full of amaro-like medicinal herbs and cola that I find overwhelming. Only time will tell if there's refinement inside this beast.
