Mellow and rounded. Delicate edges. A real gnarly undertow. Pretty and long and delicious. Quite light

Very delicate and stinky. Pretty and very light. Tea and madirized notes. Pretty and haunting.

Wow! So full, but not overdone. Voluptuous texture and very rich, but anyone who loves great Nebbiolo should be smitten by this. Lots more life ahead. A stunning bottle.

Magnum. 1971 Barbaresco. Fully mature and perhaps on the decline, but still showing dried rose petals and other delicate floral and earth tones. Pale rose colored typical of many very old Barbarescos. Clearly a wine geek's wine. I really liked it. Bottle had shown some very slight seepage not seen until the capsule was removed. A second Mag, not opened, seems to show better condition on closer examination.

Angelo strikes again! Mature, ready, and giving. All red fruit and roses, with a surprising freshness for a 45 year old wine. Calling Barbaresco the queen of wine always felt cliche to me, but here she was, reigning supreme. #nebbyolo

As it developed, just continued to improve. This wine remains surreal.

Menthol and roses. Very light bodied but sweet and balanced without flaws

Absolutely gorgeous. Would rate higher if I didnt know the single vineyard 71s were even better. Mint red fruit. Just tremendous. Amazing acidity and balance.
