Cracking Federspiel, this was juicy and really fresh. White plum, Apple, pear and a touch of green peas. Medium bodied with a mineral laden, dense, laser beam of a finish.

Fresh, minerally, but just too hard to enjoy completely yet. Better after taste rather than the taste.

The 2012 from the vineyards along the Danube. This is their lower end wine, but I thought it had pleasant acidity and a terrific minerality.

A flat & warm site compared to the Loiben/Durnstein hillsides farmed for Smaragd wines. Deep, sandy loess shines through in this beauty. A welcomed light touch from a producer I usually look to for power & impact. Wish I had a case.
