Rich, ripe plummy Merlot fruit with a nice, subtle overlay of oak and wet clay on the nose. Full in the mouth, the flavors are straightforward and pretty clingy. Bit of peppery alcohol on the finish detracts a bit.

Blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, deep Ruby with aromas of red/black fruits and floral cedar notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and sweet plums with notes of cacao and spice. Firm tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruits and earthy herb spice. Nice!

Clear dark garnet. Inviting nose and medium bodied palate of cassis and cranberry with a slight hint of oak. Medium tannins and medium acidity with a medium finish. Nenin's second label is a nice enough intro to the Right Bank for the light-bodied NW Merlot drinker. Experienced "Rive Droit-ers" may want to look to a good Fronsac at the price point. Drink now.

Blackberries, Christmas spice. Lighter weight but followed through. Optimal drinking.

Beautiful and powerful. Clean and balanced. Minerality with bright red and black fruit. A bit of a short finish but a good value

Brambly blackberry, herbs de Provence, cigar box, and tobacco. Beautifully integrated tannins and fresh acidity.

2009 Fugue de Nenin Pomerol - ripe and lush black fruits, with textures of dark cocoa powder, prunes, and earth. Medium bodied, medium acid, moderate finish and very balanced. Drink now over the next 3 to 5 years if you like ripeness and coffee notes. Hold for 10 years if you want more oxidation and mushroom. Showing very well right now, decant for two hours.
