It looks like Sicily has been able to absorb other cultures as well as international grapes. A delicious wine to be enjoyed with caponata but also on its own

Not a big Pinot noir person but it is fruity and smooth

Swiss cheese fondue

Satisfying #pinotnoir discovery from #siciliadoc at a private restaurant party. I wonder how they get enough cool evenings down in Sicily during those hot summers for this grape? Nevertheless, it works nicely - wild cherry fruit up front, very restrained oak and manageable tannins. The wine worked well with some Italian favorites like lasagne and sweet sausage.

Had at Nap’s Seven Fishes dinner 2018.

It's ok. Everyday drinker for the price

Not tasting a lot of Sicily here—or a lot of anything, frankly. Just a straightforward, inoffensive supermarket Pinot.
