Caramelized peaches, grassy and a little sassy, honeydew rind. Minimized tannins and bright acidity. Light and the perfect amount of sweetness. Delicious with a Sweet Corn Fettuccine dish! — 2 years ago

Aromas - Almond, apple and a little bit of custard. Lovely in the mouth, slightly oily, a bit of acidity and some peach stone bitterness. Plenty to it for the money.
Ps (read the label after making this note - the label says papaya and I can see that - a papaya is also known as pawpaw or 'custard-apple', however in reality as well as tasting of apples and custard, papayas taste of sewage). — 5 years ago

The 2022 varietal Malvasia is wildly aromatic, wafting up with dried flowers, incense, young mango and freshly shaved ginger. This opens with a pretty inner sweetness, glycerol textures and ripe orchard fruits, all lifted by juicy acidity, finishing spicy and with medium length. $23.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2024)

The Planeta family have been making wines in Sicily since the 1600s. Cometa, comprised of 100% Fiano grapes, comes from Ulmo, the family’s first winery situated on the banks of the Arancio Lake in eastern Sicily. The deep and chalky soil is perfect for this ancient grape variety to thrive in. Cometa is an intense, yet elegant white wine with a wide range of aromas like lychees, nectarines, mandarin, peppermint and hints of chamomile and wild thyme. It is outstanding when paired with seafood and vegetable dishes. — 5 years ago
Spicy light delish. My taste buds have also been dulled by a recent virus but it does taste spicy to me — 6 years ago
Nice dry red from Sicily. Very happy! — 6 years ago
Right up there for me. Lovely soft but dry palate which had a really well rounded flavour and good depth. £11 from a deli — 7 years ago
