This was holding up nicely for the age, but I wouldn’t keep it any longer. Nice concentration with quite a bit of oak. Lots of vanilla and baking spice on the palate. Food friendly acidity.

I really, really enjoyed the wines from Franz Haas. They were so pure and simple but had so much complexity at the same time.

Well, it was a screw-cap and wasn't expensive. But then it was an Italian Pinot Noir that was 6 years old so I suppose I was hoping for better; it was a little too acidic and had lots of spice to it. Wasn't bad but wouldn't buy again.
