Singing a classic Cote-Rotie note. Lot's of low bass floral and savory components. Missing some hightone aromatics from less whole cluster this vintage. All in all, drinking beautifully.

Feb 25th, 2018It's awake and old enough to deliver the full package. Plummy earthy fragrance and light on its feet as CR goes. But this style is best for heavier stuff I rarely eat these days. Nice to know it's there the next time I eat big game 😩

Meaty, stewed tomatoes, tart cherry, earth. Amazing floral perfume. Plays well with air. Lovely with lamb burger.

A cook study in contrasts when tasted next to '11 Levet. The Levet was wild and gamey and somewhat forbidding (though I think a better wine in the end, and that's saying a lot). This is beautifully open, loaded with seductive red fruit and white flowers, and just a hint of game.
