Peach and sweet Apple with smoky and yeasty notes adding some lemon zest. Nice balance with toasty nutty notes, great mouthfeel on lingering finish, ending with mineral and yeasty tang. Nice! Grab one for Valentine’s Day.

More birthday Champagne! This all Avize Chardonnay is aged four years on the lees and has gran cru character to spare. Rich brioche and shocking chalk- all in one little bottle! This was ridiculously good with sushi!

Nov 12th, 2015This seemed a little too freshly disgorged, but should be great in another month. The back label lists the "date of first disgorgement" as October 14, but a laser inscription on the bottle has the date May 11th 2015. The wine was still pretty fantastic, as was Cinnamon's petrale sole!
