At this price point, it's tough to beat.

Aromatics are off the charts. In the mouth not quite as exciting. Interesting wine, but not earth shattering.

Gamay - nearly as structured as many a Bourgogne Rouge - black cracked pepper coming to the front on day 3

Had right after Beaujolais Nouveau. Perfect departure - still Gamay but more complex and slightly heavier in the mouth. Twinge of pencil lead and sour cherries on the tongue.

Was pleasantly surprised by this wine. It was a random purchase to try something new (Loire reds) .

So hard to beat for the $13 price tag.

Aromatics after a 30 min decant were amazing. The palate at this point is lacking what is on the nose but I suspect with some time and integration that will improve.

Nice Gamay from the Loire backwaters. Crunchy, hard cherry and grapey Gamay fruit, but with a higher-toned mineral note than the granitic minerality of the Beaujolais crus. Lowish acidity and chunky, blocky mouthfeel give away its 2015 origins. Good value though, with lots of flavor in a low alcohol format.

CVed 9/30/17 to decide on order for 2016. JR wine. Says to age 10 years. Color is light but with that darkish tone like a Burg. Nose very earthy with dark fruit and not typical of Gamay but very interesting. Good lively mouth feel and light in body but has complexity and weight with long finish with acids and some spiciness. Definite with a refresh buy.

Bright red fruit. A touch of spice. Silky and approachable. The lighter side of good gamay.
