Amazing juiciness. Balance is top notch. Mouth filling. Awesome velvety tannins and wonderful freshness. Dazzling depth. Terrific concentration and grip. So so deep. Still can age (5-7) but wonderful today. Glorious wine.

Lacey and elegant palate with sap and deep dark cherry fruit. Terrific sweetness and grip. Very mineral and substantial. Even refined. Brilliant 11.!

Wow. Six days open, and still a riveting blast of black cherry and Côte de Beaune sap. A whiff of new oak has blown off with aeration. Elevated acidity matches palpable extract; a very typical 2015. This is as good as Monthelie can be.

Delicious and perfumey after just 15 minutes in the decanter. Sappy cherry, violets, forest floor, and beautiful slightly earthy minerality. Flavorful and clingy, it's more athletic than voluptuous. Bright and balanced.

Forget that this is monthelie. Forget the low price. This is sick burgundy. Florent garaudet is an effing genius. Cherry licorice nose. Hint of earth. Just awesome. Cherry spice on the palate. Deep. Fresh. Juicy. Awesome spicy internal aromatics. Lingering finish. Will be at peak in 2 years but this is sick sick sick sick wine. Wow. Bought from Fass selections.

Reticent nose (it's too cold, my fault) at first of freshly picked dark cherries and some earth. More nose notes later. The palate is young but amazingly fresh with tons of energy. Loads of bing cherries and tons of dense tannins and terrific freshness due to the crunchy acids. Such nice fruit and sap. This will and should age but had to try it. More nose notes later as gets to room temp.

Jun 25th, 2017Super aromatic. Spices galore. Wet earth strong soil tones. Palate is a bit closed. Well actually really closed. Great balance though and freshness. Good density and seems to get there after 10 minutes but needs maybe 30 minutes. Really long.
