There are so many good wines outside of Italy’s main regions (Piemonte, Veneto, Toscana, etc.) as well as grapes... and they are hardly known in North America. Aglianico is a unknown beast.
Earthy. Hints of liquorice. So much going on here.
For a youthful wine, it drinks well.

Ruby with aromas of ripe berry fruits, floral and sweet spices. On the palate, this medium+ body wine shows flavors of blackberry and cherry with licorice and cinnamon spice. Tannins are savory and youthful ending with some earthy mineral notes. Good value! Consistent quality, just tasted the ‘15.

Deep Ruby. Dusty berry notes with cloves and nutmeg. Palate showing the savoury side of blackcurrant. Finishing with grippy tannins. Could drink now or cellar 10+ years. Would like to drink some more Aglianico wines.
