Chianti Rùfina Sangiovese Blend

Blueberries and bay leaves with a firm palate driven by both acid and fine tannins.

Feeling firmer and more mineral with drier tannins than last bottle. Paired w take out pizza.

An entry level Rufina, but so QPR in a medium bodied 95 % Sangiovese 5% Colorino blend. Drank over 3 days, & it kept on giving. Dark red fruits like ripe plum with bay leaf in the background; medium acidity with a fantastically chewy mouthfeel, almost grainy. For 11$ & change on sale, high return QPR. Matched perfectly w roasted carrot & Brussel sprouts lasagna

Sharpish with a floral undertone. Very good pairing to homemade sourdough pizza.

Deep ruby; medium plus intensity aromas of ripe blackberry, black plum, black cherry, dried purple flowers, underbrush; dry, medium plus acid, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, medium plus intensity flavors consistent with aromas, flavors more tart than the overripe aromas; medium finish, nothing about this wine says “Chianti” to me, very confusing
