Really interesting one here. Plum, herbaceous, peppercorn, tar, tobacco, meaty, smoke, wet stones, vanilla, & eucalyptus. Description sounds like it’s a huge wine but it’s not. All in total balance.

Incredible freshness of the fruit, candied flowers, aromas of clay and potting soil. Strikingly unique.

Really captures the juxtapositions of fruit, earth, savory that make Syrah so great. Smoke, tar, plum, fig, cooked meat, resinous herbs, etc. Great WC character and texture. Curious about acidification, the breadth in texture and ripeness didn’t match up with the wines acidity, making for a somewhat disjointed experience on the palate.

Whole cluster Syrah from a guy who works harvest with dujac every year? What could go wrong?

Fascinating. Transparent, varietally representative, and consequently distinctive.

Fantastic stuff! Leads with extreme cool climate character, more red fruit then black (until it opened up), lots of minerality, a spicy entrance complemented by subtle oak then brambly semi dry red cherries, just ripe blackberry, rushed rock and earth. Tannins are perfectly integrated and acidity is absolutely off the charts!! If o had better storage conditions I would have loved to store it another decade. Outstanding.

A pinot lovers take on shiraz. All spicy strawberry compote. Med bodied, cinnamon, iron filings, spices. Power without weight - like their pinot. Interesting.
