From the western edge of Champagne, in the hamlet of Drachy, the Fallet family has been growing grapes since at least 1610. This rosé is half and half Meunier and Pinot, and has lots of texture, brambly fruit balanced by a virile and bright finish. It was excellent with our smoked trout soufflé!

Jun 2nd, 2017Dec '17: Outstanding QPR. I'd give it an 8.5 but the boss of the house--a Champagne expert--can only throw out an 8. So an 8 it is. (Tried again May 2018. Definitely has lost its edge. Drink up.)

Dec 25th, 2017Hey this is some good value! Light and crisp champagne with only a smidge of that signature buscuity leesy champagne goodness. At something like 25 bucks this beats most $45 California sparkling wines I've tasted recently.

Oct 12th, 201760% Pinot Meunier, 40% Pinot Noir, disgorged July 2016, but not sure what vintages this is based upon.
Day 1: The Meunier gives this a great density both on the nose and on the palate. Intense nose with a touch of brioche and loads of red fruit. On the palate, very clean red fruit with a lot of richness. Yummy.
Day 2: The bubbles are fading a bit, but this is still showing like a frizzante rose.
