Summum: Popped and poured; enjoyed with our first course of corn chowder. The 2015 Summum pours a bright neon yellow color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is youthful with bright notes Meyer lemon, star fruit, yellow flowers, some butter, and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and has a chalky texture. The balance of fruit and minerals soooo Eola-Amity Hills. Drink now through 2030.

Took time to open and display a distinct Burgundy persona that picks up weight after being more Chablis at the start. Still tart with apple, lemon and melon flavors driven by the sur lie aging, saline and light mineral. Displays clean, fresh oak with cashew and vanilla. Impressive. Definitely distinctly lighter weight than CA Chardonnay

Out of Magnum. Incredibly polar opposite from the 2007 for a million reasons, most notably 07 was one of the coldest vintages and 15 was one of the warmest vintages on record. Beautiful wine, showing primary fruit right now with great backbone and acidity. This has structure that many 15’s are missing. Something to be said for this being one of the great Chardonnay sites in the world
