May 28th, 2021Vibrant and well structured, this house Riesling from Rheingau producer Eva Fricke is a complex, dry and impressive wine with searing acidity and satisfying length. It hits many of the varietal spots, including wet stone, crunchy apple, fresh lime and a hint of petrol, all cut alongside a very linear profile, and a somewhat creamy mouthfeel that has excellent harmony. For an entry-level wine, this is very good. I can’t wait to try her village and single-vineyard bottlings.

Aug 28th, 2018Bright and intense. Tart green apple, lime rind, white flowers, fresh herbs and a hint of rubber. Searing acidity and a touch of sparkle, the mineral core cuts to the end of the long dry finish.

Kafir lime, white flowers, and underripe apricots driven by a powerful undercurrent of polished minerals on a streamlined backbone of racy acidity. Calls for delicacies such as lobster, scallops, a plate of pancetta, prosciutto, and pecorino, or simply a nice fresh rainbow trout.

1 person found it helpfulAug 9th, 2015Brilliant lime attack becoming pithy and mineral. A kind of tartaric tannin accretion in the finish, probably very high level of dry extract, renders this as a highly distinctive and worthy Riesling from the dry school.
