Roero Nebbiolo
Diverse #wine. #Nebbiolo from #Roero. Closed, cloudy and smelling of robust cherries, and bacon fat, oil. Opened up to soft pink flowers, candy apple shell, wet soil. Color is slightly cloudy as unfiltered, bright red throughout from edge to edge. Everything opened over an hour. Flavors of soft strawberry, marachino cherry, candy apple, sweet/sour sauce, smooth. Tannins never explode, but stay moderate, harmonious with acidity. Opened 1/22/17

Jan 23rd, 2017Light and aromatic. Great to drink while snacking or with dinner, but has plenty of personality on its own too.

Aug 6th, 2017Candy apple and maraschino cherry with a slightly oily, dry finish. Nice...#Piedmont #Italy
Jan 22nd, 2017Scanning the wine list, I settled on this Nebbiolo varietal from the Piedmont region. While the Nebbiolo is better known for the much higher-end barolos, this wine holds its own for about half the price. It's elegant and fruity with notes of tar and tobacco beneath the bright cherry and slightly citric overtones. We loved this wine so much, we decided to get another bottle. It could potentially use a few more years before it reaches peak drinkability but if you can't wait, you won't be disappointed. @Kyle Harvey
