Haynes Vineyard Syrah

This was excellent cool climate syrah—to paraphrase another reviewer, in the style of northern rhone minus some of the more feral elements and with a bit of CA warmth in the form of dark berries and cocoa. Another hit from Enfield

Very red fruited, but still clearly Syrah. Beautiful, and a lovely sense of old world style with new world fruit. Stood out among many worthy wines as its own animal.

This may be one of the best examples of Cali Syrah I've had in quite some times. Floral, meaty, with delicious black olives

St Joe in CA?

Wow! Funky dried herb and mocha aromas followed by black fruits and cracked pepper on the palate. Full of youthful exuberance and will be fun to drink after a few more years of cellar time.
