Weiss & Grau Burgunder Weißburgunder Grauburgunder

This was a tough one. Beautiful notes of apricot and peach and watermelon and florals, but it’s finish was spicy and the acid (when it decided to appear) felt out of balance. Perhaps it was too cold or didn’t get enough air. But considering i love this producer’s Pinot Noir, i was a bit frustrated that tie rosé didn’t take me to a similar happy place.

Stylistically in my wheelhouse but this weissburgunder is somewhat blunt and one dimensional.

Fresh and dry with a nice fruity palette that broadens into a sharp minerality as it airs.

Awesome stuff. Unfiltered. Complex nose of citrus, sweet peach, perfume and hint of spices. Long finish, good acidity, nicely balanced. From Lyle Fass.

Colored like a Provence rosé. Boy is this a beautiful color 🌈. Nutty stone fruit peachy nose - really intriguing. Much less aromatic than the 2015 which was very tropical. I am pretty sure this can age. And Anton is right quite spicy. Nutmeg. Lovely touch of bitter - Needs a couple of years or drink now.

Smokey pineapple.

Apricot fruit and kernel, chalk, and great weight . 30-40 after opening this becomes lovely.

I heard the next wine coming out from this brand is 20% more expensive and 20% better 🤨
