Halgans Trocken Riesling

Pale golden-green color; even a quick whiff reveals ripe citrus, stone fruit, pineapple, and mineral along with my favorite new bike-tire rubber-smell; a large sip - nice round structure of acids and alcohol, mostly ripe stone fruit and a medium-intense but supple mouthwatering finish.

Named after the cranes which migrate south annually and hover above these vineyards to catch the upward currents on warm afternoons. Previously named the #Halenberg #Riesling #trocken, this wine actually comes from a steep upper portion of the "#Halenberg" vineyard and tends to be very #mineral in character, due to the great amount of gray #slate in the soil. Delicious

Full day decant. So intensely mineral. Like drinking stones coursed through with a not unpleasant sweatiness. Medium finish with grapefruit & unripe mango notes. Fabulous now and worth stashing away to revisit.

Blekt gul i färgen med en doft av solmogen citrus, persika och tropisk frukt. I gommen en hög men balanserande syra och en ovanligt salt mineralitet i finishen. Kombinerar "lätthet" med mycket frukt, ett läckert vin m.a.o.

Lovely German trocken Reisling - lots of passion fruit on the nose but lovely minerality
