Toasted hazelnuts and bitter cocoa.

Minimum 12 years aged. Long on the palate. Pair with heavy meats, stew and sauces.

Medium amber; medium intensity aromas of roasted walnuts, dry leaves, forest floor, cedar, tobacco; dry, medium acid, high alcohol, medium plus body, pronounced intensity flavors of dried fig and date, raisins, sultanas, mushrooms, tobacco, caramel, roasted walnuts; very good due to concentration and layering of flavors

Notes of roasted almonds, baking spices and a bit of chamomile

Medium amber; pronounced intensity aromas of butterscotch, burnt sugar, toasted walnut, caramel apple, raisin, fig newtons, pecan pie; fully developed; dry, medium acid, high alcohol, medium body, pronounced intensity flavors of toasted almond, caramel, butterscotch; long finish

Great example of oloroso, all the burnt sugar, baking spice, dried fig and rancio notes you could hope for at this price.

Really needs time to find its balance. Just too much heat hides the low rs caramel, salted shroom notes. Otherwise perfect winter food wine.

10 years old 20% alcohol , dry, intense but balanced. toffee, chocolate, old wood— long after taste, drink slightly cooler than room temperature

Edges out the Arcos in balance, but I’m using wine metrics. Both richly satisfying.
