Elouan
Oregon Pinot Noir
Impressive wine for $20! Grapes sourced from Oregon Valleys of Willamette, Umpqua and Rogue. Cool climates enable a longer growing season, giving an intense structure. Medium Ruby with loads of Berry fruit flavors & sweet spice. Ripe fruit, cranberry and cherry, with cinnamon spice, consistent quality. On the finish, vibrant acidity, great balance and a touch of earthiness with subtle tannins. Tasting Sample.

Mar 6th, 2021Good luck identifying this as PN without reading the label. Fruity, viscous, homogeneous and 13.6% ABV

Feb 11th, 2020Today another pinot the 2013 Elouan Pinot Noir. This wine is bottled in St. Helena, CA but I believe the grapes are sourced from Oregon. This is brought to you by the Wagner Family and along the lines of the Meiomi Pinot and in drinking it you can see the similarities in the two. The nose is weak but can still make out cherry, raspberry and a dusty soil. The palate shows me tart cherries, rasperry, sassafras, milk chocolate, creamy caramel and a floral note. There is a good medium fresh acidity, smooth tannins and a good long finish. I do like this wine and I purchased for $23.99.
