Elk Cove Vineyards
Clay Court Chehalem Mountains Pinot Noir

Ruby color with aromas of dark red fruits, black tea and ample floral spice, from Pommard and Dijon top Parrett Mountain. On the palate flavors of black cherry, blackberry and plum with tobacco, cedar, black pepper, tea and vanilla spice. Pronounced soft fine tannins, long finish, well balanced with acidity, ending with fruit, herb, spice and flinty wet stone earthy character. Nice now!

At home with pizza (night 1) and lamb curry (night 2). Nice fruit. Well balanced. Not as deep Pinot flavor as needed to pass the 9.0 mark.

Visited the vineyard a couple years ago and opening the bottle brought back nice memories. The flavors are delicate and complex Willamette Pinot is superior to CA Pinot IMO
