To confirm that ‘05 has been an hard vintage to handle
Good nose, but the wine ends quite watery in the palate even though tannins are actually resolved. It’s a pity it just lacks the structure 😢

Currently, the Elio Grasso estate has a vineyard with 14 hectares using only estate-grown grapes. Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruit and earthy spice. 100% Nebbiolo of course, flavors of sweet cherry and raspberry emerge, smooth, with subtle spice on well made structure. Fine tannins, balanced acidity on lingering finish ending with earthy mineral notes. Nice! Can enjoy now but more cellaring will benefit.
