A beast. As far as Australian wine goes, this is one of the best I’ve had. Hint of herbal notes… even almost floral. Like a walk through the forest, from berries to fresh herbs and even the wood.

Deep violet color. Spice-accented cherry and dark berry aromas show fine clarity and subtle floral and tobacco accents. Juicy dark fruit and spicecake flavors deepen with air, picking up cracked pepper and bitter chocolate notes on the back half. Finishes long and gently chewy, displaying sharp focus and well-knit tannins that fade smoothly into the wine's sappy fruit. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, December 2021)

Ok, but not particularly distinctive in any way. Biggish with decent fruit.

Big wow for the price. Savory and eucalyptus notes. Great freshness.

A bit of musky aroma initially, with forest floor and anise. A bit rigid on the attack, rich and elegant flavors of black fruits, but a little edgy on the mid-palate. Grippy tannins with lingering hints of eucalyptus on the finish. Impressive for $20.

Dry black fruit, full body, strong tannins. Good cherry flavor with a decent, obscured complexity. Amazing value at $20 a bottle.

After quite a long opening, yielded a deep plummy mouth with a medium dry finish. Quite liked it once the sediment settled!
