Langhe Nebbiolo
Langhe, Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy

From magnum. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2021 pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the make, the wine is developing with notes of cherry, cranberry, pomegranate, red flowers, licorice and a mix of cool and warm spices. On the palate the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Well made. Drink now through 2036.

I love this Langhe Nebbiolo. Seriously delicious, pure, everything you need and nothing you don't. A Langhe DOC wine that satisfies Barolo itch without the price. Classic perfume, rose, licorice, menthol, alpine herbs, crunchy cherries, and sous bois. Charming and youthful tannin, crisp acid, plays so well with food. Yum yum

2023 vintage. Medium heavy body. Tons of structure, fruit and flavors within. Kind of a self-contained universe/biosphere. Rocking now but yah, you could lay down a sixer for a half-decade and reappraise the situation without any property devaluation/regrets. Picked up a case but probably should pick up another two for sub $40 a bottle, shredding, Italian juice. 4.15.26.
