I was so ready for a great bottle again - I had the Chloe, same vintage last night. Totally different - this is OK - max. The lemon finish is the uptick with an almost boring start. If it’s 2012 stay with Chloe!

Ripe, honeyed, rich with bright floral notes. A big, blowsy palate.

Cut grass, chamomile, grapefruit, lemongrass and sea spray. Typical Heintz vineyard herbal elements: sage, hay, green olive. Mineral-dominated palate. Fresh and saline with vitality and drive. Peach, nectarine and tangerine with sweet spearmint notes. Broad and generous, long and layered with a pleasing bitterness to the finish. Drink 2015 to 2020.
Heintz vineyard. Whole cluster pressed. Barrel fermentation and complete malolactic fermentation. 13 months aging in 39% new French hogsheads followed by four months settling in tank. Released November 2014.

100% Charles Heintz Vineyard fruit and showing transparent quality. Still shy but classic profile and pristine fruit.

12' tasting better than the 10 and 11. It could use a year of sitting in the cellar. Cheers, I'm thinking DuMol Chards again!!! @ Nick's, Maui

Less limestone grit than the Kistler, and less of a citrus profile than the Aubert. The limestone note is here, but just a little bit softer fruit on the front. The fruit profile is more youthful mango. Quite enjoyable. Acidic finish. Something endearing about this wine. Have one of the current vintage on order and glad to have it in my collection.....to enjoy in a few years.....
