The nose is not overwhelming, rather its soft but complex. Chocolate. Blackberry. Prune. The first sip is almost perfect. On the palate it's silk. Even this young. The fruit and the tannins are so well balanced. The finish is prolonged and elegant, with the right amount of heat at the end. This is a gorgeous wine.

Obviously a riper vintage but this isnt overdone. A clear effort was made to steer this away from becoming a fruit bomb. Drinks well and shows dark fruit, but not much acidity. Ready to go now and for the next 3-4 yrs.

Pleasant surprise. Great nose with spiced blue fruits. Full bodied, but not over the top with oak in check. No jam and still tannic. Long way to go on this one.
